President

Matthew Smith

Matt joined the Track Utilities family as the President on November 12, 2021. Prior to this, Matt held the role of Executive Vice President of Operations & Safety and Quality Training (SQT) at Peak. He has had a diverse career in Construction & Safety spanning a broad range of industries that includes utility construction, industrial manufacturing, department of defense, and residential construction. He brings a wealth of experience to Track that includes Safety & Quality program development, operational improvements, team leadership and motivation, corporate policy development and risk management.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology, a Specialist certification in Safety and Health in Oil and Gas, and is an eight year veteran of the US army.

 

Vice President of Power

Anthony (Tony) Cameron

Tony joined Track in 2021 with over 35 years of experience in the Power Industry after starting his career as an Overhead Lineman. He has held leadership roles in Construction, Work Control, Project Management, Training, and Safety in T&D and Fossil Generation. Tony brings a wealth of experience to the team in Incident Command, Tap Root, Human performance, Emergency Response, Training, Safety, and Error Free Execution of Work. He promotes a safe and inclusive work environment for all employees.

 

Vice President of Telecom

Brad Fairchild

Brad joined Track in 2019 as the Vice President of Operations. He has worked in the communications field for 19 years and has managed large capital and expense budgets as well as significant fiber deployment projects across several states. He has in-depth experience in engineering, loop electronics, construction and splicing. He also served in the military for 4 years.

 

Controller

Joey Schoettger

Joey joined the Track Utilities team in March 2021 as Controller, following a diverse career in Accounting, Finance and Operations across industries including public accounting, commercial/residential construction, chemical, energy and blasting sector. She holds an A.A. degree in Business Management, a B.A. in Accounting as well as a Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation. Joey brings to Track Utilities nearly 20 years of experience in GAAP accounting, audit, tax, financial management, and leadership roles from construction related industries. Most recently, Joey was the Chief Financial Officer of NES, a manufacturer and distributer of high explosives and provider of blasting services with operations throughout multiple states. Joey also has substantial experience in management of cash flow, budget, inventory, banking, insurance, payroll as well as software conversion and implementation.

 

Sr. Director of Program Management

Danette Sampson

Danette joined Track in 2019 as Sr. Director of Program Management. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from Washburn University, Topeka Kansas. She has 22 years in the telecommunications field, with primary focus on Project Management and most recently Contract Administration, Joint Use and Right of Way. She has in-depth experience in negotiations, and contract modeling and has experience managing large team budgets.

 

Director of Human Resources

Debra Henning, SHRM-SCP

Debra joined the Track Utilities team in 2020 as Director of Human Resources. She brings a wealth of experience across a diverse range of industries that include; commuter rail manufacture, pharmaceutical education and marketing, paper manufacture, and parking and transportation.

Working directly with and for senior leadership teams, Debra has designed and implemented recruiting/hiring/onboarding strategies, leadership training and development programs, employee benefit programs, led HRIS system evaluations and companywide implementations and has been the senior human resources member of merger and acquisitions teams..

Debra is passionate about employee development, mentoring and culture. She champions opportunities to promote a fun, hardworking, employee focused, gratitude driven company culture.

General Manager of Engineering

Sam Farhat

Sam joined Track in 2019 with 26 years of experience in the Telecom and Power Industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University. After college, he spent time in Power as a junior transmission/distribution engineer in the Midwest; followed by 24 years in Telecom in leadership positions managing & directing multiple states and functions including Engineering, Planning, Construction and Installation & Maintenance. He has extensive background managing capital and expense budgets, large scale initiatives, building relationships and partnerships, and delivering quality service on time to all customers.

 

 

Manager of Safety Quality and Training (SQT)

Nate Svetich

Nate joined Track in 2017. Prior to joining Track, he logged 13 years of experience in Risk Management and Claims Management for the public sector. He has overseen a variety of property and liability claims including wrongful death, wrongful termination, hostile work environment, and law enforcement excessive force.

He holds his Associates in Claims designation as well as his Associate of Applied Science in Diesel Technology and Associate of Applied Science in On-Site Power Generation Technology. As a member of The Utility Safety & Ops Leadership Network (USOLN), he also holds a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) designation.

 

Fleet Manager

Joe Barbera

Joe joined Track in July 2017. He Graduated from Boise State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. He worked in the service department in PowerSports dealerships for 5 years at Carl's Cycle Sales and Moto Tech. From there, He worked for Field-Logic as a regional rep analyzing and reviewing risk with automotive and PowerSports dealership for almost 4 years. Before coming to Track Utilities, he worked for BMC West as their Division Fleet & Logistics Manager covering the Western United States Division for almost 3 years.

 

Procurement Manager

Chris Moore

Chris Moore joined Track Utilities in July 2017 and was quickly promoted into the Procurement Manager position overseeing the procurement personnel for Track across the Northwest. Chris has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry with 10 of those years being focused on management of inventory, logistics and procurement. Chris manages Track’s procurements processes which include purchasing, receiving, logistics, and overseeing inventory. Under his leadership the division restructured and has grown across multiple locations in the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana.
